I Fell at V0, Still Climbing to V2

When I started climbing, I couldn’t even stick a V0. My hands sweaty, heart pounding, afraid to drop. No special talent here—average height, average strength. Maybe just big hands. V1 routes got longer, holds got stranger. The hardest part? Trusting I could reach the next grip. V2 brought higher walls, tiny crimps, slippery slopers. I learned to lean low, trust my feet, adjust every step to save energy. Letting go with one hand to reach better holds—those came from falling and trying again. Climbing isn’t about flashy moves. It’s about small wins that remind you you’re getting stronger. Tell me about your worst fall—or your proudest hold. #sport #climbing #fearonthewall
