Fellow hunters - when you take down game with a firearm, how do you make sure the meat’s still safe to eat? Any signs you watch for or steps you always take?

alway check the deer inside and out if you see any abnormalities weigh on the side of caution and call the conservation officer or the state biologists to examine the deer.

With a knife, you weighed up in a tree till the animal walks under the tree you jump down, grab it around the neck and cut it his throat! It’s the only way to hunt wild game. I’ve never caught one this way yet, but I’m still trying.

Trim the blood shot meat, check for bone chips if the shot has broken a bone.
