Everyone says sunrise balloon rides are magic. I booked one over Teotihuacán, hoping for a moment that would make sense of everything. Instead, I watched the Pyramid of the Sun drift by while my brain lagged behind, numb from too little sleep and too much expectation. The view was unreal—hazy gold, ancient stones, the world so quiet you could almost believe in clarity. But all I could think about was how badly I wanted coffee, and how even up here, above history, I still felt like a tourist in my own head. Sometimes the most beautiful places don’t fix anything. They just give you a better view of what you’re carrying. #Travel #TravelConfessions #ExpectationVsReality
