Hit a deer in the shoulder this morning and it ran off. Been wondering if it'll make it or if I should keep tracking. Anyone have experience with shoulder shots?

Always keep tracking
Till you loose track or
Blood then circle area and if needed get a tracking dog involved. You owe it to the deer to find it… do not give up…

keep looking. if you put a high velocity hunting round through the shoulder and it entered the body cavity and didn't clip a lung or the heart, internal bleeding will mean it's game over in an hour or less. the same round hitting heart, lungs or trachea, spinal column, anything vital, you can usually see them fall, or hear them thrash out not far away
