Thought I'd Find $100K Job Without Training - Reality Hit Hard 😰

Hey everyone, I'm really struggling here and need some honest advice 😔 Six months ago, I quit my retail job thinking I'd easily land a $100K position without any special training or skills. I kept seeing people online asking about these "easy" high-paying careers, so I figured they must exist, right? Boy, was I wrong. I've been rejected from countless interviews because I lack experience, certifications, or relevant education. Companies want proven skills, not just enthusiasm 💔 My savings are running low, and I'm starting to panic. I'm beginning to realize that maybe those "no training required" six-figure jobs are mostly myths. Should I swallow my pride and invest in some actual training or education? This is most of the younger generations. Look, I bought the bs. I went military, GI Bill, and not once had my degree come in handy. I'd be mad if I had school loans and a worthless piece of paper.

seriously? you look at your coworkers in retail, fast food workers, ect. and you think they all could have 100k per year jobs but just choose to work minium wage because they love it? Or people take out student loans and go into debt because they just love college? If it was easy to get a high paying job, everyone would do it

Unfortunately you are another victim of this as it is being pushed to most people still going through school. If you have the scratch definitely look into skilled trade schools, internships and especially apprenticeships. Apprenticeship jobs often are payed at a lower rate until completion and highered on as fully qualified. One key thing to remember and share, no amount of education is a substitute for experience.

There is no short cut. Start by getting an entry level job, plan on being there at least 3 years, and work your way up. Some employers will post no training or look past the no training, but you need relevant experience to even open that door.
