Was I Just a Diversity Hire? How to Explain 6-Month Job Exit 😰

Hey everyone, I'm really struggling and need your advice 😔 I worked as an assistant manager at a major retail chain for 6 months before things went south. Looking back, I realize I was likely hired just to meet diversity quotas - I'm an Asian woman with solid retail experience, but nobody took me seriously from day one. I was constantly talked over, my managerial duties were reassigned to others, and I ended up being used as glorified backup 80% of the time 😤 Right at my 6-month mark, sudden complaints appeared out of nowhere. HR put me on paid leave then ghosted me for a month! Now I'm job hunting and panicking about how to explain this short stint. My HR-experienced aunt suggested saying it was seasonal work, but that feels dishonest. Should I be upfront about the toxic environment, or will that hurt my chances?
