This one time at band camp, I smoked 2 blunts while in my tree stand and had deer walking around me all morning until Harvey came out and wouldn’t u know Harvey is now hanging on. My wall!

Most hunters give deer too much credit. They are in fact dumb animals. They don't run just because they smell something. It just makes them alert. Give them a few minutes. They will ignore that new smell too. Go right back to grazing or whatever.

I’ve witnessed deer watching another hunter on a clear cut smoking and blowing smoke and deer standing at the edge of the wood line and watching him pace back and forth looking for the deer the dogs were trailing. The deer were never seen by that fool and they crossed the center of that clear cut and came within 30 feet of me on the other side of the clear cut. And yes the wind was in there face , they didn’t smell me because I was elevated about 20 feet above ground in a brush pile! And yes I dispatched both those deer, I was 12 years old. That other hunter swore the deer must have been laying in the clear cut. I took that hunter to where the deer stood and watched him , within 50 feet of him and his shoe prints!if you smell like a ashtray don’t think that they can’t smell you!
