Old timers: public or private land? 🤔

Public lands are more convenient to hunt on, but private land can be hidden gems of opportunity! However more recently it is getting more difficult to gain access to private property! I always try to be a good ambassador to our sport, but it always takes a few bad eggs to ruin it for everyone else!

I get it landowners don’t want slob hunters hunting on their property littering taking shots in the direction of their house or near their animals if they have a farm. But for every one slob hunter out there there are 100 respectable hunters who will hunt according to the law and respect you and your property if you just gave them a chance.

Private land if you can acquire permission or purchase. At least in my area. Public lands have been hunted to near extinction levels, but the game commission continues to hand out more and more doe permits.

if I had a large property in a good hunting area with the food plots I would plant and make sure the water sources were good I would give two hunts to youth hunters hoping they catch the hunting bug

Private land is for the birds. I see a deer on your property it's coming home with me.

I have property of my own I hunt some but I prefer public land. It’s a little harder. And I have a hard time hunting over a foodplot. There are usually several thousand acres on public property unbroken and I like to stalk hunt
