We’re about halfway through a deck build in a high cost-of-living area. The price is higher because it includes pavers and a few extra features, and we chose TimberTech planks. The crew finished the framing today, and I noticed a lot of nails driven straight through the wood with minimal bracing in some spots. Is this normal for deck framing, or should I be worried they’re taking shortcuts? I’m not trying to nitpick, but at this price point I’d really like to be sure the deck will last well beyond five years. 🤦🤦🤦 #HomeImprovement #DeckBuilding #ConstructionQuestions #HomeProjects #Home
