Saw the #hikingmovie hashtag and had to mention 127 Hours. As someone who spends way too many weekends alone on trails, this one really gets to me. James Franco nails it - starts all confident (been there), then that gradual panic when you realize nobody’s coming. I’ve had those “okay this is actually serious” moments in slot canyons. The psychological stuff is what really stuck with me though. When you’re out there alone for hours, your mind definitely goes to those dark places with family and regrets. Made me think about all the times I’ve hiked without telling anyone my exact route (yeah, stupid I know). It’s not just survival - it’s what happens in your head when everything goes wrong. Danny Boyle really understood that part. Brutal watch but so worth it. Just maybe double-check your gear before your next solo trip. #hikingmovie
