Ground Blinds are the Most Overlooked Tool I Own
Used to be all about tree saddles until I tried taking my buddy hunting. Two guys fumbling around with saddles in trees? Total nightmare - loud, unsafe, and we bailed early. That evening I grabbed my ground blind instead. Set up in minutes, hunted comfortably until dark, and my buddy got hooked on hunting. I use a ground blind. I converted a tall narrow tough shed from Sam's club into a blind by cutting windows into it. keeps me warm and dry with plenty of storage room. I used to hunt from a tree blind but found the ground blinds more comfortable

The late Fred Bear utilized ground blinds before I was born. I adopted this method about 35 years ago, long before they were popular. I construct my own ghillie style blinds and brush them in and have had numerous in your face deer encounters. For a 70 year old guy like me it's more comfortable and a lot safer than being confined to a small platform 15 feet in the air.

When I scout areas I build ground blinds from falling limbs recycling the area and concealing myself

That's all I use are ground blinds use the blow downs for concealment deer never know nothing is changed
