As a young hunter I thought my hunting was defined by what I killed. Competition with friends for the biggest buck, not getting anything was failure. Fortunately we grow out of that phase and into hunters that care about the game, improving your herd, improving as a hunter and enjoying the experience more than the results. Introducing friends and young hunters to the sport and watching them grow becomes more important. There are several steps in hunting. The anticipation of the hunt, the preparation for the hunt, the participation of the hunt and the recollection (memories) of the hunt. I still love the thrill of opening morning and watching the sunrises and sunsets, experiencing the howl of a coyote, a bugle of an elk or a fawn nursing it mother. Hunting is so much more than just killing an animal! Happy Hunting my friends!🇨🇱🦌
