I didn’t plan to walk behind an elk. She just appeared on the trail, silent and huge, and I fell in step. For a while, it felt like I was part of something wild—until she stopped, and I realized I was just another outsider, gawking at a world that wasn’t mine. The Loch was beautiful, sure. But standing there, out of breath and out of place, I felt more like a ghost than an explorer. Sometimes you chase wonder and end up feeling invisible. Sometimes the wild doesn’t want you back. #Travel #HikingTruths #RockyMountainRealities
