I thought a golden hour hike at Walker Ranch would make me feel something. The sky burned orange over Eldorado Springs, and everyone else seemed to be living in a Patagonia ad. I kept waiting for the view to hit me, for some kind of awe or peace. Instead, it was just me, my too-tight boots, and the sound of my own breathing. Sometimes you chase the perfect sunset, hoping it’ll drown out whatever you’re carrying. But the quiet out here just made it louder. I took a photo I never posted. It looked beautiful. I didn’t. #Travel #TravelTruths #LonelyAdventures
