Stop using the same old baits!

Bull crap !! Worms are the top bait of all species of fish !! If you don’t catch a fish on a worm they are not biting or there is no fish !!

I use earthworms and nightcrawlers all the time I go fishing i do carry a few roosters tail spinners as backups only problem with worms is you have to keep them cool or they liquefy so I carry a small cooler with those freezer blocks in them to keep the worms and my drinks and lunch cooling normally fish from sun up to sun down multiple times a week is all catch and release I only use barbless hooks a little hard to keep the fish hooked but I like the challenge and when you haul in a large wild or feral trout out of a stream and slip the hook right out with no problems and let the fish go and it swins away easily that's an accomplishment my best one was 20 inch wild born rainbow trout you tell that by the fins and the bright natural colors wild born looks so much better than hatchery raised fish and every time you catch them they get smarter and harder to catch that just makes it more enjoyable

Keep using what works, don't fall for the hype that you've got to buy this bait or that $20 lure. We caught just as many fish on old lures as they do on the high priced stuff. New stuff is for catching fisherman more than fish.

Caught 42 catfish this year with worms or blue gil I caught with worms. 20lb flathead being the biggest. Caught an 8lb largemouth with worms catfishing at midnight. Caught countless bass but going for a 40lb catfish or more gonna keep trying.

I used to fish almost live bait but started fishing soft plastics only for 3 years and did better. Last 2 years got a lot harder. So I've started using some live bait. I have to say in harder times I don't think live can be beat.
