My neighbors' kids keep jumping on my fence to get on the roof of my garage
My neighbor's kids and all their friends have kept jumping on my fence to get on the roof of my garage. And because of all this jumping, my fence is actually starting to sag really badly. It's becoming super hard to open my gate now. Not gonna call the police on kids. But their mom, oh my goodness, she just doesn't seem to care at all. I actually saw her watching them do it two nights ago and she didn't even say anything. I've yelled at them twice to get off the roof and they do, immediately, then they just take off running. My biggest worry is honestly liability. What if one of them gets seriously injured jumping around up there? I really do not want to be responsible for that. And I definitely don't want my gate to keep getting worse and worse. I was thinking about putting something sticky or slimy on top of the fence to deter them 😠 But then I'm worried about attracting bugs or making a bigger mess. Place No Trespassing signs, then call police. Mom needs to be responsible

if the parents don't want to do anything then u have to call the police to cover your self so when the do hurt there self u won't be responsible

Present all the parents with an itemized bill to repair fence and garage plus any pictures of the kids doing the damage. Contact police and insurance company also. If you have a lawyer give them copies too.

put up a no trespassing sign and get security cameras.Then get documentation from camera and sue mom for damages

Get a backbone, for crying out loud!! Put no trespassing signs up, install a camera pointed at the gate, tell the mother that you're calling the police next time her kids get on the roof, and actually do it!

Put up some barbed wire or razor wire on the top of your fence where they access the roof. Bet they won’t be on that roof any longer.

Put up a NO Trespassing sign and then call the police bc the parents are responsible for their kids causing trouble

Post no trespassing signs. Put up a camera. When you have footage if them, go ahead and call the police. You can tell the police that you do not want to press charges THIS time, but they need to understand that the behavior is causing damage and will not be tolerated in the future. If they do it after that, press charges for trespassing and vandalism. Then, call your insurance company about repairing the fence. They will go after her insurance company to pay for it.
