Found over 100 bucks in the trash today 😅
The university near me had their move out day and I decided to take a walk around. Every year the dumpsters are packed with things that are basically new. I had seen MacBook Pros, designer clothes and even cash sitting there. My best find today was sixty three dollars in cash, some coins and a fifty dollar Amazon gift card. That is real money just lying in the trash. It blows my mind how much people throw away. 😓 #DumpsterDiving #HiddenTreasure #ThriftFinds #FrugalLiving #MoneyTalks

I went to half moon bay CA to visit my friend I thought it was disgusting when he told me he goes through trash and dumpsters to find stuff then I realized he goes through rich peoples garbage anyway he found a box of gold and diamond necklaces I was so wowed

I couldn’t believe my eyes either when I saw the “move out throw away” stuff when I helped my son move out of his dorm. Reality will hit these young adults right in the face when they have to pay for another vacuum or microwave with their own money. Mommy and daddy won’t be furnishing their grownup apartments. The carelessness with cash and gift cards is just next level stupidity though.

The shock hits when they find out how expensive it is to ship things home. There should be a second-hand store or donation business that caters to the university crowd. In-coming students can grab things they want/need at little or no cost, and out-going students can donate. I lived at home for college, so dont know how these things work.
