I have a son with a woman who once thought I was far wealthier than I actually was. Sadly that misunderstanding was not even the most difficult part of being with her. I tried to stay for my sonβs sake but eventually it just was not possible. I switched to weekends only and when her drinking and smoking finally caught up with her I was able to take him full time when he was 9. Since then he has been the brightest part of my life. He is respectful, kind, and grateful for everything I do for him. He is 15 now and we have both the father and son relationship as well as a close friendship. If I had the power to design sons for everyone he is exactly what I would choose. I cannot imagine life without him. Nothing could ever make me regret being his father. It is the single best thing that has ever happened to me and I am thankful every day for it. Any other parents out there feel the same way about their kids. *** What a simple yet touching story. Be honest, have you ever regretted having children? #Parenting #ParentingJourney #Fatherhood #FamilyLife #Gratitude #LifeLessons #FamilyStories #FamilyRelationships #FamilyFirst
