I was RIF'ed at 71 because I became too expensive after 18 years of raises. The severance package was generous. They will spend a lot of time and effort for 36 years of related experience walked out the door with 15 minutes notice. WARN.

I have 25 years w my company, and I'm holding on for dear life to it, not hugging. I have my hands digging in, because I need it and am seeing too many people recently being let go

be sure to put in 2 weeks notice, because otherwise they will not let you return. and it just might be the best opportunity you have! do the research. and they will not welcome you with open arms.
