Blood Test Could Change Alzheimer’s Diagnosis

With absolutely no cure, why would you want to ruin your life knowing 10 years out that you have this dreadful disease. Oh hell no!

I think the question that needs answered is will any of the available drugs that are currently used to slow the progress work more effectively with anyone that has an early diagnosis? if not, I'd rather wait until I start forgetting things. it just seems like once you know you actually have a condition, be it cancer, heart issues, dementia, that the condition progresses faster. I have no objective facts to back that up, it just seems that way a lot of the time.

Diagnosed and then… restricted .. treated differently… until there’s a cure, no thanks.

my mother had a psychotic break due to dementia, becoming violent, racist and paranoid. she was put on something that put her back to her sweet, loving self that still lived in the past part of the time. may have been aricept? can't remember the name. anything that could give me an earlier diagnosis and treatment I'm all in favor of.
