It wasn’t a sacrifice, it was stupidity. The Bulls owner, who I hate, warned Pippen not to sign the deal. Pippen did anyways. The Bulls could have kept the team together and pay high salaries to Scottie and Michael because of the luxury tax. They just didn’t have to because Pippen made a bad business decision.
