Earth’s about to hit perihelion—aka our closest point to the sun—on January 3, 2026! Even though we’re nearly 5 million km closer than in July, it doesn’t mean we’ll feel any warmer (thanks, axial tilt). The sun looks a tiny bit bigger, but you probably won’t notice. It’s just a cool reminder that our planet’s orbit isn’t a perfect circle. Anyone else love these cosmic milestones? #Science #Perihelion #SpaceFacts
