I am still shaking while writing this. I honestly cannot believe a local business would treat a customer like this. On November 12 I took my engagement ring to a jeweler just to get it resized and they confirmed the diamond was perfect before they started working on it. However, when I got the ring back just thirty minutes later, the stone had multiple huge cracks in it that were never there before. The staff and even the goldsmith admitted they messed up and their own paperwork literally says cracked diamond. So I thought they would do the right thing and replace it. Everything changed a month later when the new owner suddenly claimed the cracks were just natural inclusions and started acting incredibly hostile toward me. He actually laughed in my face when I mentioned getting an independent gemologist involved and tried to force me to sign a paper saying the damage was already there. When I refused to sign, he threatened to sue me and post fake negative things about me online if I shared my story. I have already talked to a lawyer and sent a formal demand for my property but they are still ignoring me and won't even say where my diamond is. This stone has so much sentimental value to my family and it breaks my heart that it is just gone. Please be so careful about who you trust with your jewelry and make sure you document every single detail before you let anyone touch your pieces. #Jewelry #Scam #LocalBusiness #Ring #BadExperiences
