herreraaustin+FollowFound This at a Yard Sale. Am I a Bad Person for Keeping It? 😳I happened to stop by a yard sale right after it was over, and everything left was free for the taking. It looked like a family was clearing out their mother's old stuff, so there was a ton of old belongings. I grabbed a few things. Long story short, I got home and opened up the box. It held three smaller boxes. The first one had some old Boy Scout pins, and another had two sets of very nice earrings. The third one had a vintage-looking ring with a 14k marking and some other engraving. It was clearly not something that was meant to be given away for free 😱😳 I have been so conflicted about what to do ever since. On one hand, I could leave a note for the family saying I think something was accidentally given away. On the other hand, it would be easy to just keep it and get the ring sized for my daughter one day. I feel pretty awful just for considering that, but I have no idea how to handle this. I am really struggling with this and could use some advice from you all. 😂 #YardSaleFinds #MoralDilemma #FoundTreasure #AdviceNeeded #Honesty #WhatWouldYouDo #HelpNeeded #Jewelry #DailyAdventures 14122257Share
jennifercooley+FollowGrandma's beautiful Tiffany pearls I'm nervous to wear. Anyone know how old they are?It looks quite old, and it has Tiffany printed on the case. Grandma was born in the 1920s, so it might have even belonged to her mother before her. It's really beautiful, but I'm too nervous to wear it because I have no idea how old it actually is or if it needs to be restrung. You can see in the picture (with a penny for scale) that these pearls are tiny. They're also graduated in size; the center pearls are probably about double the size of the ones near the clasp. I'm really curious if anyone can help me roughly date this necklace. Thanks so much! #FamilyHeirlooms #VintageJewelry #TiffanyAndCo #PearLovers #HelpNeeded #FamilyStories #Jewelry 11032Share
jennifercooley+FollowGreat grandmother’s gorgeous engagement ring but the diamond looks like it’s blasting off to spaceI was given my great grandmother’s engagement ring and it’s such a beautiful stone. The only problem is the diamond sits so high it looks like it’s ready to take off. 🤦 The ring also doesn’t quite fit, so I’m taking it to a jeweler anyway. I love the history behind it and I want to keep as much of the original look as possible. What would you do if you were given this? #JewelryLovers #EngagementRing #Jewelry #FamilyHeirlooms 332236Share
yortiz+FollowTaylor Swift's Engagement Ring Is Absolutely PerfectThe news about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce getting engaged is obviously huge. I have been looking at her ring and I just love it. It has such a personality and a real antique flair to it. The diamond is obviously massive -- which makes sense -- but the metalwork is so romantic and luxurious. So many celebrity rings look so massive and highly set that I feel like they would always be getting caught on things. Hers looks like a ring she could actually wear every day without it being a problem. #TaylorSwift #TravisKelce #Engagement #CelebrityRing #Jewelry #PopCulture #Discussion #Romantic 10935Share
herreraaustin+FollowThe most unbelievable diamond crescent I have ever come acrossSaw this Victorian crescent in 18ct gold and it is unlike anything I have seen before. It is covered with old cut diamonds in every color you can imagine. There is even a vivid orange stone right in the middle, which is almost impossible to find. Around it are green, blue, pink, yellow and a soft purple. The work that went into this piece is just stunning. Every little detail shows how much care was taken. I honestly do not think I will ever come across something like this again. #JewelryLovers #VictorianJewelry #Jewelry #RareDiamonds 166Share
jennifercooley+FollowShould I Get This Appraised or Just Toss It?I was going through some old stuff that belonged to a family member and found these items. Honestly, I have absolutely no idea what they are or if they are even real. For all I know, they could be complete fakes. I am hoping someone here with a little more knowledge can give me an idea of what I'm looking at. #FoundObjects #PearLovers #Antique #Collectibles #Jewelry #HelpNeeded 128113Share
Stacey Hart+FollowFound “treasure” going through boxes of my late mom’s stuff… still in shock 💍We’ve been slowly going through boxes of my late mom’s stuff, and most of it has been the usual odds and ends (think newspaper clippings and half-used tape dispensers). But today I opened an old suitcase pocket and found something wrapped in paper towels… and wow. It’s definitely not junk. I’m going to get it appraised, and I’ll probably pass it on to one of my sisters since it’s not really my style, but I’m still kind of stunned. A cursory search shows that this was likely part of their "Allegra" collection. This is a similar piece that sold at auction for 29,000 Euros... Jesus. #FoundObjects #FamilyStories #UnexpectedFinds #Decluttering #Jewelry 22320Share
herreraaustin+FollowJust inherited Grandma's old diamond ringsMy grandma passed away, and she left me these two rings. They look pretty old, especially the one on the left which seems like an old European cut. I think the one on the right might be too. They give off a real 1930s Art Deco vibe, so I'm guessing they might have belonged to someone even before my grandma. I would NEVER sell these unless I absolutely had to. I know there must be so much family history tied to them. Miss you, Grandma. 🖤 #FamilyHeirlooms #Diamonds #VintageJewelry #Grandma #Jewelry 12319Share
herreraaustin+FollowSaved from the Trash! Grandmother's necklace (how much could it be worth?)This beauty was found in a plastic bag with broken chain and dead batteries. My grandmother had dementia, and we think she hid it there to keep it safe. It feels like she somehow guided us to it at the last moment as it really was hidden in a pile of junk. Not sure of the origins, but I love the unique design and vibrant color in the opals. If anyone recognizes this style or has opal care tips, I'd love to hear. 😍 #Jewelry # #Opal #VintageFinds #SentimentalValue #FamilyStories #VintageJewelry 9519Share
Stacey Hart+FollowHelp identifying this vintage ring setting?Does anyone know this special setting? The lady who posted it received this beautiful ring from her mother on her wedding day. It originally belonged to her great-grandmother. The ring is about 60 years old and absolutely gorgeous. She's trying to figure out what this type of setting is called, but she hasn't found anything useful. I've seen a lot of jewelry but I've never seen anything quite like this. It looks super unique and definitely vintage. Has anyone seen something like this before or know what style it might be called? Would love to learn more about it! ❤️ #EngagementRing #FamilyStories #VintageJewelry #Jewelry5712Share
