A 90% graduation rate wasn’t enough to save Baltimore Collegiate School for Boys, a place where so many Black boys finally found support after being failed by other city schools. With its closure, families are left wondering where their sons will go next—back to the same broken system, or worse, into the streets. What’s especially tough to swallow is that this decision came from Black leadership in a city that’s supposed to know better. If we can’t protect our own, who will?
