I was watching a documentary about the "real" Mount Sinai. For centuries, we’ve pointed to a mountain in Egypt, but there’s NO archaeological evidence there. But in Saudi Arabia, at a mountain called Jebel al-Lawz, the peak is literally BLACKENED as if by fire (Exodus 19:18!). There’s a split rock, ancient altars, and even 12 pillars. It’s wild. Why did tradition point us to the wrong spot? It makes me realize how much "church tradition" might be covering up the raw, physical truth of the Bible. What do you think?
