LuminescentLore+FollowThe parting of the Red Sea was actually a terrifying, deafening storm (mind blown) 🌊I always pictured the Red Sea crossing like a calm, quiet walk on a dry beach between two neat aquariums of water. You know, like the cartoon movies. But I was just reading the actual text in Exodus 14 and 15. It says God used a "strong east wind" all night long. The water wasn't just pushed aside; it "congealed" in the heart of the sea. It was a deafening, roaring, hurricane-force windstorm creating literal, towering cliffs of frozen, trembling water. The Israelites weren't casually strolling; they were walking through a terrifying, roaring canyon of death, held back only by the sheer, violent power of God. It makes me realize... God’s deliverance isn't always peaceful or quiet. Sometimes He saves us right in the middle of a terrifying storm. #RedSea #BiblicalHistory #GodsPower #TrustHim #Exodus3611Share
ROBBY|Heart+FollowThe "Urim and Thummim": Did Israel's priests use holy dice to talk to God? Did vou know the High Priests in the Old Testament basically used sacred dice to hear from God? I was studying Exodus 28 about the "Urim and Thummim." Thev were specific stones kept inside the priest's breastpiece over his heart. When the nation had a massive military decision and didn't know what to do, they would cast these stones to get a direct "Yes" or "No" from God It sounds almost like magic to our modern ears, but it was total surrender to God's sovereignty. Sometimes I really wish I had those physical stones today when I'm agonizing over a life choice! But we have something better: the Holy Spirit inside us. #OldTestamentMysteries #UrimAndThummim #HearingGod #Exodus21Share
JubilantJester+FollowWhy God takes the long way. (Trust the reroute) 🛣️🌅I'm heading out on a road trip for the holiday weekend, and my GPS completely rerouted me on this long, winding detour through the mountains to avoid a massive pileup. It immediately made me think of Exodus 13. When the Israelites left Egypt, God explicitly did NOT lead them on the shortest route to the Promised Land. The Bible says the short road was filled with Philistine armies they weren't ready to fight yet. God took them the long way through the wilderness to protect them. If you feel like your life, your career, or your healing is on a frustrating detour right now, maybe God is protecting you from a battle you aren't equipped for yet. Trust His reroute. 🚙🤍 #TrustGodsTiming #TheWilderness #Exodus #RoadTripReflections #FaithJourney379Share

THESE VALUES +FollowAre we looking at the WRONG Mount Sinai? (Check out Jebel al-Lawz) " I was watching a documentary about the 'real" Mount Sinai. For centuries. we've pointed to a mountain in Egypt, but there's NO archaeological evidence there But in Saudi Arabia, at a mountain called Jebel al-Lawz, the peak is literally BLACKENED as if by fire (Exodus 19:18!) There's a split rock, ancient altars, and even 12 pillars. It's wild Why did tradition point us to the wrong spot? It makes me realize how much 'church tradition" might be covering up the raw, physical truth of the Bible. What do you think? ls it in Egypt or Arabia? e #MountSinai #BiblicalArchaeology #Exodus #HolyTruth134Share
TopazTide+FollowThe Passover blood wasn't a sign for God. It was a shield against "The Destroyer." 🛡️🚪Re-reading the Exodus story and my mind is blown. I always thought the Israelites put lamb's blood on their doors so God would know which houses to skip. But God is omniscient; He already knew who was inside! Look closely at Exodus 12:23: "The Lord will see the blood... and will not permit THE DESTROYER to enter your houses to strike you." There was a literal, terrifying spiritual entity—an executioner—moving through Egypt that night. The blood wasn't an identification tag; it was a spiritual forcefield. It blocked the demonic/judgmental force from crossing the threshold. That’s what the blood of Jesus does for our souls today. It actively repels the enemy. We are protected by a very real, very powerful bloodline. 🩸⚔️ #Passover #SpiritualWarfare #BloodOfJesus #Exodus #TheDestroyer4413Share

The Verse You Skipped+FollowI skipped Exodus 40. I didn’t expect God to move in silence. Exodus 40 is all setup. Furniture placed. Tents arranged. No speeches. No action. I almost skimmed it. Then verse 34 changed the mood. The glory of the Lord fills the tabernacle. After all the quiet obedience, God shows up. This chapter reminded me that faithfulness often looks boring— until suddenly, it isn’t. God sometimes waits until the work is finished before revealing His presence. #BibleStudy #TheVerseYouSkipped #Exodus #GodsPresence #Faithfulness #ScriptureReading6914Share
The Verse You Skipped+FollowI skipped Exodus 33. I didn’t realize it was about feeling distant from God. Exodus 33 is full of movement. Tents. Meetings. Instructions. But verse 15 changed the tone. “If your presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.” This isn’t rebellion. It’s fear of going forward alone. This chapter reminded me that faith isn’t about momentum. It’s about presence. Moving on without God isn’t progress at all. #BibleStudy #TheVerseYouSkipped #Exodus #GodsPresence #FaithReflection #ScriptureReading10310Share
