A lot of factors go into being the GOAT in the NFL. The votes usually are for the center stage players , QB, RB, WR. In my view, while these players are great, the overall all around player is The Tight end. A tight end's function on offense is that of a versatile hybrid, acting as both a blocker (like an offensive lineman) and a pass-catcher (like a wide receiver), lining up on the line of scrimmage to create mismatches by being big enough to block but agile enough to run routes for short-to-medium gains or even deep down the middle (seam routes). They are crucial for disguising plays, helping the running game with key blocks, and becoming a reliable target in the passing game, especially near the goal line. So who are the greatest of all time. Some capture headlines because of their team , others because of their play. In my vote , my obvious selection for current player is of course Travis Kelce, I want to know your vote here is my Tight end top 10 GOATs , let me know what you think, #1 Tony Gonzalez Simply put, "Tony G" is statistically the best tight end in NFL history. No player at the position has more receiving yards (15,127) or receptions (1,325) than him, #2 Travis Kelce Considered the greatest tight end of his generation, Travis Kelce is the only active player to crack the list #3 Antonio Gates #4 Rob Gronkowski Gronk" was one of the most-feared tight ends #5 Jason Witten #6 Shannon Sharpe #7 Greg Olsen #8 Jackie Smith #9 Mike Ditka #10 Jimmy Graham Honorable Mention Vernon Davis Ozzie Newsome Kellen Winslow George Kittle Let me know your Top 10, either way these guys were Goats in their time

The Rams might be locked into the #6/#7 seed before they even play again

The Rams schedule quirk + NFC West chaos is setting up something weird. After that brutal Week 16 collapse, the Rams don’t play again for 11 days — next game is MNF vs the Falcons. That means they’re basically watching the division race unfold without being able to respond on the field. Here’s the nightmare scenario: if the Seahawks and 49ers keep winning in the meantime, their Week 18 matchup becomes the de facto NFC West title game — while the Rams get mathematically boxed out of the division and end up effectively locked into Wild Card weekend (likely #6 or #7) by the time they even kick off on MNF. If that happens, there’s a real chance the Rams treat the Falcons game (and/or Week 18) like a pre-playoff rest spot to protect Stafford, Kupp/Puka, and key defenders. #NFL #Rams #NFCWest #Playoffs #Wildcard #Seahawks #49ers #NFLDiscussion
