Adulthood can be a surprisingly lonely place, even when we're surrounded by others. We go to jobs, flash smiles, chat lightly, yet inside, it often feels like we're just marking time. Friendships seem to fade, family's caught up in their whirlwind, and spontaneity gives way to schedules.
We yearn for the days when laughter flowed freely and plans were made on a whim. I remember my parents' active social life, Christmas and New Year parties, and the ease of visiting friends. Now, organizing a gathering seems daunting, and dropping by uninvited is frowned upon. It's the overwork and lack of free time that changed society.
