Who Are These Magical Job Automators?
Okay, so tell me—who are these wizards who claim they've automated their entire job and now just chill at home, working an hour a day? Seriously, where do they find these gigs? Because in my world, as a systems engineer in defense, every project is a new beast. Nothing repeats, so automation is basically a myth.
Even when I switched to solutions engineering, everything that could be automated already was. What was left? Custom client requests, last-minute calls, and the kind of work that only a human can do. If I was lucky, automating a few things saved me half an hour, tops.
So, is this just an IT thing? Are cybersecurity folks living the dream while the rest of us are stuck grinding? Or is everyone exaggerating just to flex online? Honestly, if I could nap during work hours, I’d call that a win. But sitting in an office with nothing to do? That’s just soul-crushing. 😅
