Accidentally find this Amazing Brunch and will come back‼️

🍳Boho Cafe 📍 · ▫️Having brunch on the weekend, we accidentally stumbled upon SF Restaurant Week and this place only has this menu set on weekends! It's like finding a treasure! During the restaurant week, they offer two brunch sets, one for 💰25 and one for 💰30. We chose the $30 set, which includes a salmon benedict, a duck confit crepe, and a mimosa for each person. · 🦆Duck Confit Crepe Simply outstanding! I didn't expect it to be so delicious at all! The presentation looks ordinary, but the taste is heavenly. The creamy flavor, tender mushrooms, eggy and tender crepe, and the aroma of the duck meat all blend together perfectly. It's a taste of heaven! Even though it's a cream-based sauce, it doesn't feel heavy till the last bite. It has the essence of French cuisine but without the heaviness. · 🍳Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict Compared to the duck confit crepe, this one is relatively less perfect. The soft and runny egg yolk and the smoky flavor of the salmon are just right, but the base underneath is not as good. It's a bit hard to bite into, not sure if it's an ingredient choice or intentional texture. The runny egg yolk also doesn't soften the bread texture, so it feels a bit lacking. · ▫️Worth mentioning is that both dishes have fantastic side dishes! Especially the roasted potato chunks, slightly hot but so delicious! It's the best brunch side dish I've had so far. · ☕️Finally, they served us each a cup of espresso, along with an exclusive truffle candy! As someone who doesn't drink coffee, I didn't enjoy the espresso, but the truffle candy is absolutely amazing!! It's so soft and tender, melting in your mouth instantly! I really want to ask the restaurant for the recipe! · ▫️Highly recommend their outdoor seating area, with a very elegant and beautiful ambiance. The wooden blinds and the summer-themed decor give you an instant feeling of the Bay Area's summer. #BayAreaCuisine #WhereToGoOnWeekendsInBayArea #BayAreaLife #Brunch #Restaurant #HiddenGemRestaurants #RestaurantWeek #WeekendPlans

Wait! Real Texas Barbecue in the Bay Area!!

🍖Horn Barbecue 📍 2534 Mandela Parkway, Oakland, CA 94607 ▫️Since I previously went to Texas and couldn't stop thinking about the barbecue, I was thrilled to find a more authentic Texas barbecue place in the Bay Area. 🥰 Let's hurry and give it a try! ▫️They opened at 11 AM and by 11:15 AM, there was already a long line. The line moved quite slowly, with about 5-10 minutes per group. Only two groups were allowed in at a time, and we waited for about half an hour. ▫️Unfortunately, they had run out of ribs today 😭😭😭, but it was a pleasant surprise to discover that their cornbread was absolutely delicious!! #BayAreaWeekendPlans #BayAreaLiving #BayArea #Barbecue #Foodie #FoodRecommendation #FoodDiary #WeekendPlans #TexasBarbecue #BayAreaCuisine

Revisit Guilin Rice Noodles House for their new dish‼️

🍜 Guilin Rice Noodles House 📍 901 Taraval St, San Francisco, CA 94116 · ▫️ On this side of T Street, there is truly an endless variety of delicious food. Small pot rice noodles, my favorite milk tea Teazo, Xinjiang big plate chicken, various handmade dumplings, and a wide range of Asian cuisines. It's a foodie paradise. During the pandemic, I always ordered takeout from this noodle shop, but finally, this time I dined in, but... · ▫️ Is it just me, or have they reduced the amount of ingredients in this dry mixed rice noodle I usually get?! I was initially shocked 🤯 I remember there used to be a lot of ingredients, but now it's just a few scattered slices of meat with nothing else. · ▫️ On the other hand, my friend ordered the 'Nanning Lao You Fen' and it looks really good. The small clay pot is full of ingredients and looks delicious! The soup is also warm and tasty, with a good flavor! It seems like I'll be going for the Lao You Fen next time. · ▫️ Their menu is indeed not extensive, and they don't have many fancy side dishes. I just ordered a cold wood ear mushroom salad, which was quite salty, and it didn't go well with the plain rice noodles, but it was quite suitable. #WhereToGoInBayArea #BayAreaLife #BayArea #GuilinRiceNoodles #GuilinCuisine #RiceNoodles #Foodie #FoodieLife #BayAreaCuisine

A Cozy secret Japanese-Style Yakitori Restaurant in San Francisco

Noren Izakaya is a hidden gem where you can gather with friends and enjoy an authentic Japanese atmosphere. The hand-drawn menu is charming, featuring illustrated chicken skewers and various dishes that pique my interest. Compared to other izakayas, the menu here is not extensive, but the quality is good. I highly recommend the Spicy Kimchi Stir-Fried Pork, as the tangy kimchi complements the skewers well. The Grilled Chicken Skin is incredibly crispy and the crispiest I've ever had. The Sashimi is optional and nothing to write home about. As for the Yakitori skewers: - Almost all of them are delicious, especially the ones with organ meats. - The grilled mushrooms are flavorful and tasty. - The grilled scallops are a must-try, they are huge! - I had high expectations for the Bacon-wrapped Mochi, but it turned out to be way too salty. - The Beef Tongue is fantastic! It has a tender and crispy texture. - Even the simplest Chicken Wings are incredibly delicious! Overall, this place is perfect for a casual gathering with friends, with its authentic Japanese style and attention to detail that captures the essence of Japanese culture. The bar area itself exudes the same charm. #BayAreaLife #WeekendInBayArea #GlobalFoodies #Yakitori #BayAreaCuisine #SiliconValleyFood #FoodieLife #ProductRecommendation #JapaneseGrilledBird #JapaneseIzakaya #MustVisitYakitoriRestaurant #HiddenGem

My friend doesn’t want me to post this hidden gem but…

🍣 Hamano 📍 1332 Castro St, San Francisco, CA 94114 - The official description calls it a lowkey Japanese restaurant and it was indeed discovered! Before, while doing aromatherapy candles and eating Russian cuisine nearby, I accidentally came across this really inconspicuous Japanese restaurant. I thought it was just ordinary home-cooked food, but it turns out they offer omakase according to their official website. With a curious mindset, I made a reservation. It turned out to be a hidden gem of a place! - Among the few restaurants that serve a lot of Japanese food, this is one of them. It has a simple, slightly old-fashioned decor style. There are very few bar seats, only for customers who reserve omakase. The head chef is quite efficient, managing everything and chatting with the customers cheerfully. - The food is truly homely with a touch of finesse, and the ingredients are unexpectedly delicious! Moreover, many of the ingredients are directly imported from Japan, which I never expected to find here! The spot prawns are incredibly fresh! I can have three portions of Hokkaido abalone! And this crab, it's truly beautiful and generously served! - Towards the end, I was really full, very full, very full. The slices of raw fish on each nigiri were really big and substantial. Such sincerity! I would definitely come back again! Lastly, I was pleasantly surprised by their udon noodles. I never expected them to be so delicious. I could just come here next time just for a bowl of udon noodles.🙂 #BayAreaLiving #WeekendInBayArea #GlobalFoodieSquad #JapaneseFoodExploration #JapaneseCuisine #Foodie #WeekendExploration #HiddenGems #APlaceThatHasBeenDiscovered #Exploration #BayAreaCuisine

Hot and comfortable Old-School Beef Noodle House in San Francisco🍜

🍜PPQ Beef Noodle House 📍 1816 Irving St, San Francisco, CA 94122 - An old-school beef noodle shop in San Francisco that has maintained its taste for decades. I had a good impression when I tried it a while ago, so I couldn't resist revisiting when I saw it nearby. Since my stomach hasn't been feeling well lately, I wanted something hot and comforting, and a bowl of Pho seemed perfect. - The portion of noodle soup is generous, even the medium-sized bowl is enough. The vegetables, broccoli 🥦 and shrimp rolls, are fresh, and the service is fast! Indeed, enjoying hot noodle soup while it's still hot is the most comforting. - PPQ Beef Noodle House offers a combination of raw beef slices, beef balls, beef tripe, and more in a bowl of noodle soup, making it the most diverse bowl of beef noodle. I personally love it! You can taste all the different ingredients in one go. - Another favorite of mine is the Five-Spice Chicken. The noodle soup and chicken pieces are served separately. The broth for the noodle soup is flavorful, and the chicken is fried to perfection - crispy and tender. You can have a spoonful of noodle soup and a bite of chicken separately or mix it according to your preference. #WeekendIdeaInBayArea #BayAreaLiving #BayArea #BayAreaCuisine #FoodRecommendation #Foodie #PopularFoodOnXiaohongshu #MyFoodDiary #WeekendFoodAdventure #FoodHunting #OldSchoolEstablishment

Bay Area Food | Thai Breakfast with Tom Yum Soup Congee and Youtiao

🍲 Kan Kiin 📍 201 Southgate Ave, Daly City, CA 94015 ▫️ The newcomer to the Bay Area's Thai breakfast scene is definitely eye-catching, with its deep green color scheme and modern decor. The combination of Thai breakfast style and contemporary design is impressive, although the taste may not be as outstanding as expected. ▫️ The aesthetics are on point, from the utensils to the food itself. I love their simple yet stylish tableware collection. ▫️ We tried some of the recommended dishes, but feel free to explore other options. The dishes are decently prepared, nothing too extraordinary or disappointing. ✅ "JOK" Crispy Pork Belly The Tom Yum flavored congee is a must-try! Especially on a cold winter morning, it warms both the heart and stomach. The tangy and savory rice porridge paired with Youtiao is a delightful combination. It gives me inspiration to recreate this as my own breakfast! ✅ "HAT YAI" Fried Chicken & Vanilla Waffle Although it claims to be Thai-style fried chicken and waffle, there isn't a distinct Thai flavor. It's simply a regular fried chicken and waffle, decent but lacking any strong uniqueness. It feels a bit off considering it's supposed to be Thai breakfast. ▫️ One downside of this place is that it's quite cold inside... 🥶 Even after eating, it doesn't warm up. Lately, it seems like every restaurant I go to is freezing, not sure if it's just me... 🥶 #BayAreaLife #GlobalFoodies #WeekendInBayArea #Breakfast #ThisIsWhatIEat #MyBreakfast #WhatToEatForBreakfast #BayAreaCuisine #HiddenGemRestaurants #SanFranciscoFood
