College Grad With Health Sciences Degree Can't Land a Decent Job! 😩

Hey everyone, I’m feeling pretty lost and honestly, a bit defeated. I graduated with a health sciences degree back in May 2017, but I still haven’t been able to land a good job. I’ve tried everything—applying on every job site you can think of, updating my resume with professional help, and even going to job fairs. But all I get are scam calls or offers for minimum wage jobs that pay less than my current retail gig. What’s really frustrating is seeing friends with totally unrelated degrees landing great jobs at big companies, while I can’t even get my foot in the door anywhere, not even for entry-level roles at places like Apple or Oracle. My dream is to work in government intelligence, but I can’t get the experience I need because no one will give me a chance. I’m not super outgoing, but I work hard and I’m dedicated. Still, I keep wondering if I’m missing something or just not doing enough. Has anyone else been through this? I’d really appreciate any advice or encouragement right now. 😔 #JobSearchStruggles #CareerAdvice #CollegeGradProblems #JobCareer #Career

6+ Years in Marketing, Can't Land a Job - What's Wrong? 😭

Hey everyone, I'm honestly at my wit's end here and could really use some advice. 😔 I've been in marketing for over 6 years now, and I'm trying to relocate for a hybrid or remote position. Here's the crazy part - I'm having WAY more trouble landing interviews now than I did fresh out of college with zero experience! I've been getting rejection after rejection, and it's honestly crushing my confidence. Back then, companies seemed more willing to take a chance on me. Now, despite having a solid portfolio and years of campaign management under my belt, I feel like I'm shouting into the void. Is the job market really this brutal right now, or am I missing something? I'm even open to in-person roles, but most postings seem to be hybrid or remote anyway. Has anyone else experienced this weird backwards difficulty? I'm genuinely lost and could use any insights you might have. 💔 #jobsearch #marketingcareer #careeradvice #JobCareer #Career

Stuck Between Tech & Real Estate - Both Feel Impossible! 😩💼

Hey everyone, I'm honestly at my breaking point here and could really use some guidance. 😔 I've been trying to transition my career for months now, caught between two industries that both seem completely oversaturated - Tech and Real Estate. Every single entry-level position I look at feels like climbing Mount Everest! 🏔️ Software Engineering? "Need 3+ years experience." QA roles? "Previous testing experience required." Even Technical Recruiting and Real Estate Analytics positions want someone who's already done it before. It's like that classic catch-22 - how am I supposed to get experience if no one will hire me without it? 🤷‍♀️ I'm starting to wonder if I'm just chasing impossible dreams here. Has anyone else felt this stuck? Did you find a way to break through, or should I be looking at completely different paths? Seriously desperate for any advice or encouragement right now. Thanks for listening! 💕 #CareerAdvice #JobSearch #EntryLevel #JobCareer #Career

Torn Between Two Job Offers: Money vs Work-Life Balance 😩

Hey everyone, I'm literally losing sleep over this decision and could really use some perspective! 😅 I've got two job offers on the table and I'm completely torn. The first one pays 90K with amazing work-life balance - a full month of vacation, remote work options, and the most supportive manager I've ever met during interviews. It feels like a dream setup for my mental health. The second offer is 110K plus a 10% bonus, but it's strictly in-office with only two weeks vacation. The environment seems more traditional and demanding, though the manager appears decent. My heart says take the first job for my sanity, but that extra 20K+ would really help with my student loans and saving for a house. I keep going back and forth! 😫 Has anyone been in a similar situation? What did you choose and do you regret it? I need to decide by Friday and I'm honestly panicking! 🙏 #joboffers #worklifebalance #careeradvice #JobCareer

Torn Between $20k Raise and My Dream Team! 😩💸

I’m in a real bind and could use some advice. I currently make $110k at a job I genuinely love—the work is exactly what I’ve always wanted, and my coworkers are awesome. We have a group chat full of memes and inside jokes, and my boss is honestly the best I’ve ever had. Every day feels rewarding and fun. Now, I’ve been offered a $130k position within the same company, but at a totally different office. The work is similar and the benefits are the same, but the new team is much older and I’m worried I won’t fit in or enjoy the vibe as much. I keep wondering: is an extra $20k worth giving up a job that feels like home? I’m really stressed about making the wrong choice. What would you do if you were in my shoes? Any advice would mean a lot! 🤔💬 #CareerAdvice #WorkplaceDilemma #JobSatisfaction #JobCareer #Career

Higher Salary vs Family Time - Should I Take This Chaotic Job Offer? 😰

Hey everyone, I'm really struggling with a decision right now and could use some perspective. 😔 I'm a 38-year-old woman who's been comfortable at my current tech company for almost six years. Last week, I got an offer from a smaller firm that would bump my salary by about 30% - sounds amazing, right? Here's the catch: during my research, I discovered this company is notorious for their "everything's on fire" culture. No structure, constant emergencies, and employees working crazy hours just to keep up. 🔥 I have two young kids at home, and honestly, the thought of missing more bedtime stories and weekend soccer games for a paycheck makes my heart sink. My gut is screaming "no," but that financial boost would really help with college savings. Am I being foolish for potentially turning down this money? What would you do in my shoes? I'm so torn and need some real talk from people who've been there. 💭 #CareerAdvice #WorkLifeBalance #JobOffer #JobCareer #Career

Am I Ruining My Career by Job Hopping Every 2-3 Years? 😰

Hey everyone, I'm really struggling with this and could use some honest advice. I'm 33 and looking back at my career path, I'm starting to worry I'm a serial job hopper 😬 Here's my track record: 2.5 years at my first company, then 2.5 years at the next one, followed by 3.5 years at another place. I did a one-year contract role after that, and now I'm planning to leave my current job at the two-year mark. I'm losing sleep over this pattern! 😟 Is this going to hurt my reputation in the industry? Should I force myself to stay put at my current company even though I'm not happy, just to show I can commit long-term? I feel like I'm at a crossroads and don't know which path to take. What would you do in my shoes? #jobhopping #careeradvice #workplacedilemma #JobCareer #Career

Offered a Pay Cut After Grueling Interviews—Now What?! 😱💸

I’m in a real bind and could use some advice. I’ve been working in higher education for a while, earning about $93k a year. Recently, I applied for a new position at another university that seemed like a perfect next step for my career. The job posting listed a salary range up to $106k, and I made it clear during the process that I’d expect something toward the higher end if I were to make the move. After two marathon interviews, I was shocked when they offered me $85k—less than what I make now! My potential supervisor said she tried to get HR to bump up the offer, but this is what they came back with. I’m feeling pretty discouraged and honestly a bit insulted. I can’t take a pay cut to switch jobs, but I really want this opportunity. Is it even possible to negotiate $15k or more at this stage? Has anyone else been lowballed like this and managed to turn things around? I’d love to hear your thoughts or advice. 🙏 #SalaryNegotiation #CareerAdvice #JobSearch #JobCareer #Career

Lost My Job Connections After Moving—Now I'm Stuck! 😩

I’ve always been lucky when it comes to finding jobs—my last three roles came through friends who vouched for me at their companies. It made the whole process so much easier, and I never really had to stress about job hunting. But now, I’ve moved to a new city where I don’t know anyone, and suddenly, I’m completely lost. I’ve tried scrolling through job apps, but it feels overwhelming and impersonal. I’m not sure if I should keep applying online, or if there’s a better way to get my foot in the door without any connections. Honestly, I’m feeling pretty anxious and stuck. If you’ve been in my shoes, how did you manage to find work in a new place without knowing anyone? I’d really appreciate any advice or encouragement right now! 🙏 #JobSearch #CareerAdvice #MovingForWork #JobCareer #Career
