His armor alone weighed 125 pounds. His spearhead was 15 pounds of solid iron. David was likely a teenager standing 5 feet tall. When we face "giants" in our week—bills, health issues, family drama—we think they are too big. But David knew that the bigger the giant, the easier the target for God. I’m a Christian. Because some mornings I wake up still carrying yesterday’s weight, and the only thing that gets me out of bed is knowing grace doesn’t clock out. I’ve knelt in the dark more times than I can count— hands empty, heart heavy, whispering ‘Lord, if You don’t show up, I don’t know how to keep going.’ I’ve raised shaky arms toward a sky that felt too quiet, wondering if the light would ever break again. And every time—every single time— He answers. Not always with fireworks. Often with the quietest sunrise. A glow on the horizon that says, ‘I’m here. I see you. I haven’t forgotten.’ The cross stands steady when everything else shifts. And in that light, something inside me rises too— not because I’m strong, but because His resurrection power is alive in my weakness. Grace isn’t a feeling that comes and goes. It’s the steady hand that lifts your head when you can’t. It’s the promise that says your story isn’t over, your pain isn’t pointless, your surrender isn’t wasted. If today you’re barely holding on— If your arms feel too tired to raise— Lift them anyway. Even small. Even trembling. Because the One who hung on the cross for you is the One raising you up now.
