🌊 Half Moon Bay Seaside Adventure: Stroller-Friendly Family Day Trip in the Bay Area!

Hello, everyone! Today, I want to share with you the Coastal Trail in Half Moon Bay, California. Take your kids and let's explore this beautiful place together! πŸš— πŸ…ΏοΈ Location: 1001 Miramontes Point Rd, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019 Firstly, let's talk about the parking lot. It's relatively small and requires some luck to find a spot, but don't worry, the breathtaking views make it all worth it. My family was lucky enough to find a parking space and began this exciting journey along the coast. πŸ˜„ 🌊 Coastal Trail: A picturesque trail along the Bay Area shoreline This Coastal Trail is perfect for a family outing with kids as it is stroller-friendly. Along the way, we enjoyed the magnificent waves and soaring seagulls. The left side offered a view of the azure ocean while the right side showcased charming houses. It was truly a feast for the eyes. As we walked further, we arrived at the iconic spot in Half Moon Bay, overlooking the majestic Pacific Ocean, with lush green grassland and The Ritz-Carlton to the right. πŸ˜„ 🍽️ Delicious Lunch: Barbara's Fishtrap Our stomachs started growling, so we headed to Barbara's Fishtrap located at 281 Capistrano Rd, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019. The fried shrimp and calamari were incredibly delicious, especially their clam chowder, which was simply irresistible. We specifically chose outdoor seating to enjoy the view of the sea while indulging in our meal. Although we couldn't secure a reservation at The Ocean Terrace, our dining experience at Barbara's Fishtrap left us more than satisfied. πŸ˜„ πŸ›οΈ Seafood Harvest: The Pier After our meal, we went to the nearby pier, where we found freshly caught fish, crabs, sea urchins, and more. We bought some incredibly fresh fish to steam and enjoy at home during the evening. Just imagine the enticing aroma of the seafood dishes. It's truly something to look forward to. πŸ˜„ The whole journey started at around 8 am and lasted until around 1 pm. When we got back home, the kids took a 3-hour nap. It was a fulfilling and joyful day! If you're looking for a family-friendly destination, consider the Coastal Trail in Half Moon Bay. 5 Bay Area Petting Zoos My Daughter Loves

Over the past two years, I've visited various petting zoos with my daughter. Feel free to add your favorites in the comments!πŸ‘‡ 1⃣️ Deer Hollow Farm, Los Altos: Free! Located in Rancho San Antonio, a 20-minute hike leads you to the farm with cows, huge rabbits, lambs, lazy pigs, and a bunch of chickens. Stroller-friendly!πŸ„πŸ–πŸ” 2⃣️ McClellan Ranch Preserve, Cupertino: Free! The highlight here is the cute alpacas. Although the farm is mini, there's a variety of lively animals. Nearby loop trails are stroller-friendly.πŸ¦™ 3⃣️ Hidden Villa Hiking Trails, Los Altos Hills: Paid entry. We visited in summer and saw fewer animals than usual: sleeping pigs, inactive chickens, and lots of sheep.πŸ‘πŸ’€ 4⃣️ Ardenwood Historic Farm, Fremont: Paid entry. Best on Sundays, offers a mini train ride and a chance to simulate milking cows. Plus, a beautiful Victorian villa and a blacksmith shop!πŸš‚πŸ„πŸ° 5⃣️ Lemos Farm, Half Moon Bay: Paid entry. Kids can ride ponies, sheep, go on hay rides, and drive little cars. Busier on weekends.πŸ΄πŸšœπŸš— #BayArea #PettingZoos #FamilyOuting #FreeActivities #PaidActivities #DeerHollowFarm #McClellanRanchPreserve #HiddenVillaHikingTrails #ArdenwoodHistoricFarm #LemosFarm

Macaron-colored Santa Cruz🎠 beachside amusement park in Cali

On the California coast, there's this colorful amusement park ~ it's got macaron-hued tramcars🚑, red, blue and white colored roller coasters, even the beach umbrellas are multi-colored stripes! The whole park is bursting with energy, and its lively colors draw lots of laughter and joy when the summer season hits. As soon as you walk in, you'll spot the classic macaron-colored tram cars🚑. A couple bucks lets you take a ride, and from the top, you get to survey the entire park, or peer over at the beach. If you look closely, you might spot some unusual riders like little yellow and pink ones ~ The park is compact but it's packed with all sorts of rides! Giant swing, U-shaped skateboarding ramp, and several types of roller coasters. If you want to have a go at everything, you could opt for the $69.99 ticket to experience all the rides. You can also recharge your prepaid card, different rides deduct different point amounts. 1πŸ”ͺ (buck) equals 1 point, $50 gets you 55 points. Entry into the park is free, so you can take a stroll around before deciding on your favorite rides to put your points or tickets on. In the summer, the beach and amusement park draw in crowds, so street parking can get tight. Right next to the park, though, there's a big paid parking lot, charging $30. And with the heat beating down, remember to stay sun-safe and hydrated! πŸ“Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk 400 Beach St, Santa Cruz, CA #SantaCruzBeachBoardwalk #AmusementPark #MacaronColors #CaliforniaCoast #SummerFun #Beachside #RollerCoasters #FamilyOuting
