hschroeder+FollowPicking Blueberries, Living in a TrailerI'm from Mexico, and this is my fifth year coming to North Carolina as an H-2A (temporary agricultural worker) visa worker. I pick blueberries for 10 hours a day, 6 days a week. My hands are always cut by the thorns. Eight of us live in a single mobile home provided by the employer. We can't really leave the farm. My visa is tied to this employer, and if I complain about the conditions, they can fire me, and I lose my legal status immediately. We are the source of the food on America's tables, but we are invisible. #H2A #Farmworker #LaborRights #GuestWorker #EssentialWorkers286Share
