The Canada Food Inspection Agency says, it's not illegal to sell food past its best before date, but it seems like FreshCo and Sobeys have their own rules. From what I've seen, they pull those items off the shelves, even if someone would happily buy them at a discount. Feels like a missed opportunity, right?
