Christ Follower+FollowNot everything handed down is truth. Some teachings are received from people we trust. They are repeated. They are defended. And over time, they become so familiar that people stop testing them. That is how false teaching can gain authority. It gets received. It gets treated like truth. It gets shared. Then it gets passed down to the next person. But Scripture never tells us to believe something just because a preacher, denomination, family member, or church system taught it. We are told to test all things and hold fast what is good. A person can love the Lord and still be trapped in teachings they were handed before they knew to question them. A person can read Scripture often and still see certain passages through the lens they were trained to use. That does not mean their heart is wicked. It means something false may have been given authority where only Jesus and His Word should rule. False teaching says, “This is what we have always believed.” Truth asks, “What did Jesus actually say?” False teaching protects tradition. Truth exposes mixture. False teaching depends on repetition. Truth stands even when it is unpopular. What gets received gets carried. What gets believed gets shared. What is never corrected gets passed down. But Jesus does not expose false teaching to shame people. He exposes it to free them. Because tradition cannot set captives free. Only Jesus can. #TruthOverDeception #TestAllThings #SoundDoctrine #JesusSetsFree #FalseTeachingExposed20Share
