Linda Carroll+FollowThe Job Application Struggle Is RealApplying for jobs is hands down one of the worst experiences. You're already stressed about finding employment, and then comes the arduous task of tailoring your resume for each application. You sign up for some clunky website, only to painstakingly copy your entire resume into its fields. Most of the time, you hear nothing back. Or worse, you get an automated email saying they've moved on, and you weren't considered. You have to repeat this process around 300 times before landing a single interview. By that point, your standards hit rock - bottom. You're so desperate that you'll take just about any job, even if it turns out to be a toxic environment where you're treated terribly. And then, you have to put that lousy job on your resume and start the whole grueling process all over again. #JobApplications #JobSearchStruggles #ResumeTailoring #ToxicJobs #CareerHurdles #JobCareer #Career280Share
Linda Carroll+FollowLaid Off and Feeling Lost — Why is the Job Market So Bad? 😞I was laid off two weeks ago due to a reduction in workforce. I was making 95K a year at 33 years old, but the environment was toxic. We just bought our first house two years ago, and the pressure is weighing on me. 😔 I’ve had three interviews, but two of them decided to move forward with other candidates. I feel like I’m doing something wrong, but I don’t know what else to do. Anyone else going through this or have advice on what I can do differently? How can I prevent losing my home during this job search? 💬👇 #JobSearchStruggles #LaidOff #CareerTransition #JobMarket #Uncertainty #FinancialStress #JobCareer #Career277Share
Linda Carroll+FollowFeeling panic in the terrible job market?I started applying for jobs the very next day after the election. I had anticipated some of the things that would happen come January. I did all the things you're supposed to do—polished my resume, networked like crazy. But all I got were six interview opportunities, and not a single job offer. 😫 Elmo assured me that there must be efficient jobs in the private sector to replace my so - called inefficient government job. But I just can't see them. I'm starting to go nuts! 😣 Am I the only one in this situation? Or are others facing the same problem too? 🤔 #JobMarket #JobSearchStruggles #Unemployment #CareerAdvice #PanicMode160Share
