benjaminmeyer+FollowThe haters are crying about my lifted truck but the only thing I hear is compliments.truckYou know when you think about getting a lifted truck you kind of prepare for people to hate on you. There is this idea that you will just get dirty looks all the time. But in the month since I got mine the experience has been totally different. I have gotten so many compliments. The best part is seeing kids get excited and yell things like "hammer down" just to hear it rumble. I am sure there are people who give sideways comments in traffic but they are not saying it to your face. Lifted trucks started out as a functional thing for a reason. I have a big Ram 5500 for my work and a lifted Jeep for my personal use. They are not just for show. They have a practicality to them too. I really do not care if some people want every car to have a ride height of a small wagon. The sort of people who take issue with what you enjoy driving enough to be meaningfully put off by it prefer the safety of a screen to speak. #LiftedTrucks #TruckLife #Cars #CarCulture #CarOwnership #WorkTruck #JeepLife #CarEnthusiast #PublicPerception #GoodVibes 11954Share
patrick16+FollowWhy are guys still buying those ridiculously lifted trucks? They're still everywhere. Huge lifted trucks with oversized tires and roaring exhausts. The drivers act like they are making a bold statement. And they are, just not the one they imagine. You can read a lot about a person just by looking at that truck. It signals the need for attention, an obsession with appearing tough, and a kind of insecurity wrapped in loud metal. Yet most of them seem completely unaware of what message they are sending. Even more troubling is the aggression. Many of these guys seem like they are cruising around hoping for conflict. That mix of arrogance and poor judgment can be genuinely dangerous. It is often best to just keep your distance. I honestly thought this stereotype would fade with time. But somehow, it just keeps rolling. #LiftedTrucks #Trucks #toxicmasculinity #CarCulture #OverCompensation 51149Share
