Timothy Cherry+FollowIt’s not about laziness. It’s about survivalI keep seeing comments like “people just need to get off the couch and work.” You ever been sick and still tried to stand on your feet for 8 hours in a warehouse? My neighbor lost his Medicaid because he didn’t meet the new work requirement — he’s 59, bad knees, no car. Now he’s skipping doctor visits. How is that helping anyone? #MedicaidMatters #Life #Job #Medicare 12791Share
PixelSorcerer+FollowSmall-town clinic says they might cut hoursI live in rural Missouri. We’ve only got one clinic in town that takes Medicaid. Just heard from a nurse friend that if these new rules go through, the clinic might have to cut hours or staff. She said “we can’t handle more paperwork with less money.” I get that budgets are tight, but when folks start skipping appointments because they lose coverage, who’s really saving money here? #MedicaidMatters #Medicare #Life 210Share
HarmonyHopper+FollowWhy Do so Many Americans Oppose Universal Healthcare?I'm genuinely curious—why do so many Americans oppose universal healthcare? I'm at a point where I'm starting to think about retirement in 10 or so years, and honestly, healthcare is probably what will keep me working until 65. The idea that a medical issue could wipe out everything I've worked for is deeply unsettling. And I’ve felt this way since my 20s. I’d gladly pay my share, even if I don’t need it in the near-term. Politics aside—because I'm so exhausted by the political noise from both sides—I'm trying to understand why we, as a country, wouldn’t want something like this for ourselves. Universal healthcare seems like it would be one of the most important things we could do to protect our well-being and financial security. This isn’t meant to be a political post. I'm just honestly trying to understand the other side of the conversation. #Politics #Safety #Medicare #Health 3371823Share
