Ever tried explaining to your non-pet friends why you keep glancing at the empty spot on your couch? Yeah, me too. My cat used to own that space (and, honestly, the rest of the apartment). Now, every time I hear a random thump or see a shadow, I half-expect her to appear with that judgmental stare only cats can master.
People say, "It’s just a pet," but anyone who’s shared their life with a furry roommate knows it’s never just a pet. It’s the silent company during late-night existential crises, the warm weight on your lap after a bad day, the tiny, purring therapist who never charges by the hour.
