Karen S. Adams, 54, was last seen on March 11, 2007, at the home she shared with her brother John in Independence Township, Pennsylvania, near the West Virginia border. The following night, March 12, she was captured on surveillance cameras at the Mountaineer Casino Racetrack and Resort in Chester, West Virginia, where she spent hours playing bingo and slot machines. She was last seen on video at 4:31 a.m. leaving the casino and walking toward the parking lot, presumably to her maroon or red 2005 Suzuki Forenza/Forsa with Pennsylvania license plate EDT5887, though cameras did not show her actually leaving in the vehicle. A few minutes later, her phone made a call to her voicemail, but it’s unclear who placed it. Karen, described as a white woman with green eyes, brown curly hair, lightly tinted wire-rim glasses, and standing about 5’4”–5’6”, was wearing a green coat, layered dark shirts, blue jeans, and a baseball cap. Neither she nor her car has ever been found. Her family insists she would not have left voluntarily, especially without her beloved yellow lab, Amy, or missing work, something she hadn’t done in years while holding two jobs. Despite extensive searches, hospital and morgue checks, flyers, and reported sightings, her disappearance remains unsolved.
