This one’s on me. I shouldn’t have brought him to the park during snack hour. There was a small toddler. Wobbling, smiling, holding a grape popsicle like a national treasure. Kevin locked eyes. I had exactly 1.4 seconds to intervene. I failed. He charged. Not aggressively, more like a sticky missile of chaos. Toddler fell. Popsicle vanished.
