We have new neighbors who moved in about a month ago, and apparently they run some sort of moving business. One of their trucks has been floating around our street for weeks, and today it’s been parked directly in front of my driveway for 8 hours. No one was home at their house to move it. Thankfully I was working from home today and my wife was off, so it didn’t impact us… yet. But now it’s 10:30 p.m., and I have to leave at 4:30 a.m. for a site visit. If it’s still there in the morning, I have no idea what to do. Would you call someone? Wake them up? Tow it? Thought LA parking was bad, but this is next level 🙄 A woman in Glendale went to the hospital for a cancer screening -- already a stressful thing -- and when she went to pay for parking after 45 minutes, the machine charged her $7,829. Yes, you read that right. Apparently the system glitched and claimed she had been parked there since 2022. However, when she tried to explain to the parking guy, he didn’t believe her and even accused her of parking there for weeks. So she ended up calling the news to help because no one at the garage would fix it.
