I suffer from period shame in front of my family and have to do things in secret🤔
Growing up in a house where privacy is basically a myth, managing my period feels like I'm starring in a spy movie—minus the cool gadgets. With two brothers who think every closed door is an invitation and a mom who believes in sharing everything, even my bathroom trips turn into a family event.
I've tried every trick: stuffing pads in my hoodie, hiding tampons in my backpack, even tucking them behind my phone case. But somehow, someone always pops up with a question or, worse, wants to tag along. My little sister has a sixth sense for when I'm about to need my makeup bag, and of course, that's when she wants to borrow my lip gloss!
Honestly, it gets exhausting pretending like I'm just grabbing my phone or a snack. Why does something so normal have to feel like a top-secret mission? Does anyone else feel like their family just doesn't get it? Please tell me I'm not the only one sneaking around at home! Share your stories—I need backup! 🤦♀️
