Two Cats, One Lap: A Historic Truce
So, my lap has always been prime real estate in this house, but apparently, it just became Switzerland. My usually aloof tortie (aka the queen of side-eye) decided to curl up next to my resident snuggle expert for the first time ever. No hissing, no dramatic exits—just two cats, one lap, and me trying not to breathe too loudly in case I ruined the moment.
Honestly, I thought this day would come right after world peace. Watching them both settle in, I felt like I’d just unlocked a secret achievement in cat diplomacy. Is this what harmony feels like? Or are they plotting against me? Either way, I’m not moving until one of them does.
Pet owners, you know the drill: if your cats finally tolerate each other, you cancel all plans and accept your fate as a human heating pad. Worth it.
