Our Electricians and Plumbers Left So Many Holes. Is This a Normal Thing?

We just had some new lights, sockets, and switches installed, along with some plumbing work. All the work is done, but they left a total mess. I'm talking a ton of holes in the ceiling and all this drywall damage around the sockets. The pictures are just a few examples, but there's plenty more all over the place. I'm honestly just trying to figure out if this is normal. Is it standard practice for electricians and plumbers to just leave all this damage for the homeowner to fix?
