Raiders Take a Flyer on Rocket’s Nephew

Just hours before the draft, the Silver & Black quietly added Qadir Ismail, nephew of Raiders legend Rocket Ismail, to their TE room. While Qadir doesn’t have his uncle’s blazing speed, his 6’7” frame and solid 4.69 speed make him an intriguing project—especially with the team’s history of turning athletic TEs into stars (remember Waller?). With Brock Bowers the clear TE1, Ismail gets a chance to develop and maybe surprise us all.
