FabulousFox+FollowEasy Low-Gi rice, protecting your blood sugar!Measure 1 cup of brown rice and 1/2 cup of lentils. Rinse both really well under cold water. Dump them into your rice cooker. Add about 3 cups of water (or broth for extra flavor), a pinch of salt, and any spices you like. I usually toss in a bay leaf and some garlic powder. Stir everything together, close the lid, and set your rice cooker to the brown rice setting. If yours doesn’t have that, just use the regular cook setting. Walk away and let the rice cooker do its thing. It usually takes 40-50 minutes. Once it’s done, fluff with a fork and serve. Super filling, and easy to cook. Perfect for meal prep or a quick dinner after work out! #Rice #EasyCooking #Healthy eating #Kitchen hacks #Food #Cooking30Share

William Vasquez+FollowIs There Arsenic in Your Rice?!Just found out that every single rice sample tested in a new report had arsenic—yep, 100%! Some even went way over the limit set for baby food. The wild part? There’s no federal limit for regular rice, even though we all eat it. If you want to cut down on the nasties, try cooking rice like pasta (lots of water, then drain), swap in quinoa or couscous, or stick to Calrose, sushi, or jasmine rice. Brown rice and risotto? Maybe not tonight. #FoodSafety #Rice #HealthNews #ToxicMetals #WhatWeEat #Health30Share
awaters+FollowIs Your Rice Hiding a Toxic Secret?Next time you scoop up a bowl of rice, here’s some food for thought: climate change is making rice soak up more arsenic—the same stuff used in old-school poisons. Scientists found that as the planet heats up, rice plants grow bigger roots and pull in more of this nasty chemical from the soil. That means your go-to comfort food could be riskier, especially if you eat rice every day. Maybe it’s time to try those new, eco-friendlier rice varieties or mix up your grains! #FoodSafety #ClimateChange #Rice #HealthHacks #EcoLiving #Business50Share
