The unfortunate need SNAP

Snap is needed for so many people: disabled, elderly folks, children in low income families. Now especially when thousands of people losing their jobs it’s a very necessary “lifeline “ It’s a very cruel inhumane thing to cut it off. #SNAPBenefits #SNAPLife #SNAPTalk

When reading these posts, I see such a wide variety of opinions concerning SNAP. People need to work, quit relying on the government, quit aiding illegals, the list of reasons that people suppose others are on SNAP is quite incredible honestly. I have a bachelors degree in engineering, and have worked hard all of my life . I do not have much to show for my hard work, and have suffered a lot under our system. I have attached a graph of where the money goes . If you watch the green/blue line (that is us) the middle class was created at the end of World War 2. And that wave or bubble continued until 1970. From 1970 on working Americans started to experience struggle. Why is that? There are several reasons honestly for this division of wealth to relapse as it has. Part of it you can blame on Nixon and legislation that he put in place. Part of it was OPEC demands( these are the oil folks). Part of it was a disastrous trade war with Japan that our companies just simply were not prepared for. A fair days pay for a fair days work! This would be wonderful if it were true here. Since 1970s , this has been impossible. Essentially this is my entire working life and I have always been underpaid for the work I have done. One question to ask yourself is this: what is profit? What does that actually even mean? If you take a careful look at wealth distribution and how it occurs, you quickly realize that capitalism in the United States has gone out of control. They do not follow the works of Adam Smith, “ I make money, you make money “. In the USA, it is “I make money and you do not .” I am not going to go into a whole expose of this horrible, horrible system designed to squeeze every last ounce of blood from the citizenry, but offer an observation of SNAP. The people that can work that receive SNAP do work. These claims that so many are just kicking back and receiving benefits is false. My wife & I are on a fixed income (SS) & do not qualify for SNAP despite receiving less than $2500/month, yet we are not starving. We buy sensible food items, skipping junk food & many premade frozen foods. We also go to our local food bank when needed. it's dam shame that the people of Congress is having kiss each other s ass to get what each one desires more like a picture of I don't care I making 174 thousand dollars a month I am guessing and doesn't know what it's like out in the real world and should only serve limited terms and they should not get any pension at all just getting to much money from the American taxpayers when they're are real people suffering and to much fraud the government should make it a law if caught commiting fraud you should lose everything and serve no less than ten years and be branded as fraudster in public and there is what I say is a click on each other's side like joining the service having to kiss each others ass to get your bill thru and the system needs to change the deck is stack against the American taxpayers and just to much wasting American taxpayers money #WithenSNAPStops #SNAPInterrupted #SNAPLife #SNAPBenifits #GovernmentShutdown

SNAP IS ESSENTIAL

Many of our countries lower income families are feeling hopeless. There are places to go, food banks, churches, and some communities are doing more. People lining up on the side of the road; to hand out food from their own home pantries. That sight brought a tear to my eyes. I am a mother of 3 grown children and Nana/Nanny to 12 grandchildren. Never in my life have I seen such cruelty, except for when "We Are The World" brought attention to starving people of the world. The thing is those most affected are in Red States and are White. Most are working but don't make enough to pay bills and eat. SNAP helps those people. Non Citizens are not eligible!!! There is a lot of misinformation going around and shifting blame. Bottom line, no one should be going Hungary in the United States.Congress has appropriated funds for SNAP. This is an administrative choice. We didn't shutdown SNAP in Government shutdown, until now. Did you lose your SNAP during last administration? No, you didnt.Actions speak louder than words. To those suffering right now...Do not be afraid to ask for help. Do not feel ashamed for needing help. Everyone is a major health battle or horrible accident away from being in your shoes. They just don't realize that. Praying for all of you! when snap stops where does my next meal come from? It comes fucking work!!! It comes from getting up off your ass and doing something to earn your money! It comes from telling yourself this👉 I feel sick as hell, I have pain out the ass but I am still gonna get my ass out the door to my house and off to work because the money I earn is my daily food not just for me but for my family, my kids! So remember as hard as it might be but if u have a family, u are not just working for yourself, u are working to provide for your family! The money u earn is to keep a roof over your family head and your head and to keep food in your stomach so u can thrive! This would be a good time to rework them whole welfare system. You can get help with your 1st kid any other kids your have your take care of them on your own . And you have to take a drug and alcohol test every month . No welfare moms staying home till a kid starts school , working moms go back to work 6 weeks after having a baby, welfare moms should have to do the same get a job 6 weeks after having your baby just like working moms do .You want help you work .
